Junior IT Controller

We are currently seeking an Junior IT Controller to assist in overseeing the financial aspects of IT operations within the FOSS IT Global organization. This role entails a range of responsibilities focused on ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of resources, adherence to budgetary constraints, and compliance with financial regulations.

Your role will be pivotal in maintaining financial discipline, fostering transparency, and upholding accountability within our IT operations, thereby playing a key part in bolstering the overall success and sustainability of our organization.

You will report directly to the Head of IT Finance Ops & Excellence based in Warsaw. If you are eager to make a direct impact on the advancement of our company, we extend a warm welcome to you!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze IT spending patterns and assist in recommending cost optimization strategies
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making related to IT investments and initiatives
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management team
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast for expenditures of IT Global
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement within IT Global Department.
  • Processing (reading and interpreting) software contracts and other commercial documents (purchase orders, invoices, quotes)
  • Supporting software contract renewal process or software audits

 

What we expect from you?

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT Management, or related field
  • Around 1 or 2 years of experience in financial management, asset accounting, software asset management
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SAP nice to have
  • Fluent English
  • Familiarity with IT asset management systems and best practices would be an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
