R&D Project Controller

The Position

The position is a central part of our R&D Project organization where we want to enhance our economic performance by creating a business and commercial oriented organization. Your stake in this will be to work with budget controlling of projects through making monthly reporting and analysis to ensure that goals will be achieved.

You will work in close cooperation with our team of Program Managers, Project Managers and colleagues from many departments including Finance, Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Production and Customer & Sales Support.

Being an excellent communicator is essential for your success in this role. In your previous job(s) you have learned to master the art of communicating numbers and data even to non-financial people. Another one of your strengths is to keep deadlines and work under pressure while still ensuring near-perfect quality in your work. In addition, you are motivated by meeting daily challenges and discovering new ways to optimize processes and tools.

You are able to transform complex analyses to easy-to-understand recommendations to the Program and Project Managers.

 

Primary tasks

As our Project Controller, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Perform, control and consolidate R&D / NPD analysis incl. to develop new tools, processes and reports to support R&D / business decisions
  • Deliver monthly financial reporting to R&D organization on project economy, overall NPD portfolio and individual projects
  • Act as a project controller, participate and support to establish and maintain project business cases in product development projects
  • Deliver substantial ad hoc support within project, business or financial controlling / analysis to R&D, SVP and project managers

 

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate comes with a degree in Business, Finance Economics or similar, as well as a min. of 5 years’ experience working with project controlling and knowledge product costing.

To succeed in the job as Project Controller you must have a good understanding within key business processes to support business development decision.

We expect you to be a MS Office super user, especially in Excel, and to have a good knowledge of SAP.

Strong project management knowledge will be an advantage. It is a prerequisite that you are fluent in Danish and English and have a Danish work permit.

You are analytically strong, can work independently, and are capable of taking responsibility for your assignments and meeting deadlines.

You are an excellent communicator and are motivated by new challenges.
