Set the direction and create business opportunities


We are looking for a business developer to grow and expand our business and support operational tasks of strategic importance.  

The essence of the job is to identify and solve customers’ challenges turning their current and future needs into innovative value driven solutions. The job requires that you profoundly find out our customer’s needs, competitors’ offerings and the market drivers across industries, countries, and regions.  

Your primary tasks will include:

  • Follow-up on industry segment strategy
  • Identify and pitch early-stage business opportunities in close collaboration with customers, partners, and FOSS colleagues across the company
  • Follow market trends and industry insights, including competitor assessment
  • Portfolio & product life cycle management, to ensure growth and competitiveness
  • Manage new product development to ensure solutions are designed according to customer needs
  • Run and follow-up on project business cases to ensure profit, revenue and cost targets are met
  • Support M&A activities with industry & competitor analyses and segment strategy

You will be employed in the Corporate Business Development team. Team spirit is essential because you as a Business Developer will be part of a Business development team and a cross-functional management team responsible for driving the milk market globally.

Are you curious and ambitious?

We are looking for "top-of-class candidates" with a master’s degree in either economics, a commercial or a technical discipline combined with some years of experience working with innovation, marketing, or sales of technical products. The ideal candidate has:

  • Experience with strategy and business development in a B2B environment
  • Good project management skills with a commercial mindset
  • Experience within product and portfolio management
  • The ability to understand both commercial and technical aspects of our business
  • Solid communication and presentation skills
  • Good English skills - both written and orally
  • Experience from food or agricultural related industries

We picture you as a person with a pronounced analytical commercial mindset, as well as curiosity and willingness to understand our customers and market drivers. You are a team-player who is also self-going, and work structured and analytically to condense insights into recommendations and activities that can be implemented. With excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you can work at all levels of the FOSS organization incl. with Corporate Management as well as with our customers and partners.

On a normal year it will most likely be around 40-60 days - but it all depends on the need and your role.
