Exciting key role for our success In the role of Engineering Procurement Specialist at FOSS Global Sourcing, you will play a pivotal role in our supply chain operations. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and maintain sourcing strategies in alignment with the goals set by our Category Managers. This position requires you to ensure that our suppliers meet our demand through seamless communication and efficient procurement processes. You will be stationed in India for approximately 40% of your time, contributing directly to a key project there. This will involve extended stays of 3-4 months at a time, followed by a shorter period in Hillerød before returning to India. You will report directly to the Director of Global Sourcing. Meet your team FOSS Global Sourcing is an integral part of our Supply Chain division. Our department is dedicated to achieving cost efficiency and implementing LEAN sourcing solutions throughout our inbound supply chain. We support our global production sites located in Hillerød, Denmark, and Suzhou, China. With a team of 15 employees in Hillerød and 7 in Suzhou, we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and performance-focused work environment. Daily Tasks As an Engineering Procurement Specialist, your daily responsibilities will include: - Supplier Engagement and Approval: Engage with potential new suppliers, assess their qualifications, and approve them as vendors to ensure a robust supplier base. Build strong relationships to secure favourable agreements and maintain ongoing communication.
- Supplier Integration with NPI: Collaborate closely with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to integrate new suppliers into the production process, ensuring seamless transitions and timely support for product development.
- Contract Manufacturer Collaboration: Work closely with contract manufacturers to improve processes, ensure product quality, and optimize production efficiency.
- Frame Order Agreements: Develop and manage long-term agreements with suppliers to maintain a reliable supply chain while achieving cost-effectiveness.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, and cost-saving initiatives. Drive supplier development programs to improve overall supplier capabilities.
- Collaboration with Category Managers: Partner with Category Managers to organize and setup the supplier base, ensuring alignment on objectives and performance metrics.
- Support for Engineering Changes: Assist in the management of Engineering Change Orders, ensuring that changes are smoothly implemented from a sourcing perspective.
- Benchmarking and Optimization Projects: Participate in benchmarking activities and collaborate on projects designed to optimize the supply chain.
- Regulatory Compliance: Support efforts to ensure regulatory compliance within sourcing and procurement functions, maintaining alignment with industry standards.
- Production and Operations Support: Provide operational support as needed, addressing concerns related to delivery, quality issues, and invoice/payment matters with the finance department.
