Service Engineer

The job

Working as a Service Team Member, you will represent the face of FOSS and drive best-in-class customer service, responsiveness, and professionalism. Your job is to perform preventive maintenance , troubleshooting  also provides expert technical support and service to customers and colleagues together with enhancing user competency.

 

You will be reporting to Service Director , based in subsidiary office in Bangkok.  The position requires high rate of travel (~80%) , within Thailand and occasionally surrounding area or in the region.

 

Primary task

  • Providing technical service for instruments both on-site and remote, ensuring that onsite visits are conducted with the relevant certifications in place.
  • Responding to ongoing customer inquiries and providing technical and operational advice to customers and other service employees
  • Conducting trainings for customers for operation of instruments
  • Performing installations, instrument demonstrations and trials
  • Providing complaint feedback to internal complaint handler
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with customers
  • Providing sufficient and detailed documentation and timely maintenance of records in CRM
  • Following and staying updated with FOSS processes

 

Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex instruments
  • Adept at diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues
  • Communication: Skilled in explaining technical details to non-experts and managing client relationships
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Versatile in adjusting to diverse work settings and travel requirements.
  • Driving license & own transportation
  • Business level of English is a requirement
  • IT & automation skills is strongly recommended
  • 3+ years of laboratory, instrument and/or field service experience is required.
  • College or university degree in an engineering discipline or chemistry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in related field is required
  • Strong, analytical skills, problem-solving, and customer empathy are all necessary attributes.
  • Being able to clearly communicate up, down, and outside the organization is essential.
