Senior Hardware Test Engineer

Step into a key role at a global market leader

Are you ready to engineer the future of quality? Join us as our new Senior Hardware Test Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the exceptional quality of our analytical solutions for the global food and agriculture industries.

At FOSS, we are committed to developing the world's leading analytical solutions, and rigorous testing is key to our mission. In this senior position, your work will directly ensure the integrity and performance of every product we develop, from initial concept through final production.

Your daily work: a commitment to quality from A to Z

You will become part of the Test & Verification team, a group responsible for the reliability and legal testing of our products. As a Senior Engineer, you will take the lead in designing, building, and implementing robust production test equipment for our state-of-the-art solutions.

Working in dynamic, cross-functional development teams, you will deliver new analytical solutions to the global market. You will work in close partnership with the NPD (New Product Development) Project Team and the Test Project Manager to plan project deliveries and ensure we create meaningful production test solutions that add real value to the production line.

Your responsibilities

Your role is primarily focused on the "production test" aspect of the team's responsibilities, where you will drive stability and technical excellence. In this collaborative environment, you will:

  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and measurement chain experts to define testing requirements strategies.
  • Automate and optimize: Develop and implement automated test solutions using TestStand and LabVIEW to increase efficiency on the production line.
  • Influence design: Participate in design reviews to provide critical input on hardware testability, influencing the product design from an early stage.
  • Ensure smooth integration: Train the production and NPI teams in using the test solutions to ensure a seamless handover.
  • Solve complex issues: Drive issue resolution by identifying and diagnosing hardware defects and conducting root cause analysis for test failures.
  • Drive innovation: Stay updated on the latest hardware testing methodologies and tools to improve our processes continuously.
  • Manage external partners: Collaborate with vendors to ensure the seamless integration of production test equipment.

Who you are

To succeed in this role, we imagine you have a meticulous eye for detail and a proactive, positive mindset. You thrive in complex technical environments and are an exceptional communicator.

We envision that you have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Solid experience in hardware test design, preferably from the low-volume electronics or technology industry.
  • Proficiency in programming TestStand and LabVIEW for test automation.
  • A great understanding of how effective production and supply chains work, and how tests contribute to a robust value chain.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required. It is a strong plus if you can communicate with Production in spoken Danish.
