At FOSS, we are on an ambitious digital transformation journey to become truly data‑driven and to strengthen self‑service analytics across our global organization. To accelerate this, we are building our next‑generation data platform on Microsoft Fabric, integrating data from core systems such as SAP ERP and Salesforce. To support this transformation, we are now looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our Business Data Platform team and help shape the technical foundation that powers analytics at FOSS. Your Impact and Responsibilities As a Data Engineer, you will work at the heart of our data platform—designing, building, and operating reliable, scalable, and governed data pipelines. You will be central in establishing our new enterprise data warehouse and ensuring high‑quality data for analytics and reporting across the business. You will join a dedicated team of five data professionals who collaborate closely with stakeholders across FOSS. Together, you will ensure trust, transparency, and availability in the business‑critical data used every day. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Design and build robust ETL/ELT pipelines in Microsoft Fabric
- Work with batch flows, metadata ingestion, and data quality controls
- Extract, transform, and structure data from SAP ERP and other core systems
- Contribute to the creation of our new governed data warehouse
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data foundations
- Ensure stability, observability, and documentation of data processes
What You’ll Bring to the Team You are a hands‑on, structured, and curious data professional who thrives in technical environments. You enjoy solving complex data challenges and take ownership of delivering high‑quality, well‑engineered solutions. You bring a proactive, can‑do attitude and strong self‑leadership—while being easy to collaborate with. We imagine you have the following essentials: - Strong knowledge of the ETL/ELT process
- Understanding of batch flows and metadata ingestion
- Experience working with SAP ERP data
- Strong critical‑thinking skills and a can‑do mindset
- Relevant education within Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or similar
It is an advantage (but not required) if you also bring: - Understanding of Salesforce data
- Skills in Power BI
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID
Technical abilities we value (experience or readiness to learn): - SQL, Python, and PySpark
- Working with Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, OneLake, Azure DevOps, and Git
- Modern data engineering practices and metadata‑driven design
