Soft Flow is the leading biotechnology company in the fields of flow cytometry and food/feed safety with 20 years of experience in R&D and cooperation with market leaders in global industry. Now, we’re inviting you to take on a key role as our next New Product Development (NPD) Project Manager to lead the next wave of innovation within our NPD programs. This is your opportunity to drive the development of advanced, intuitive food analysis solutions that have real-world impact.

About the Role

As an NPD Project Manager in our R&D NPD Programs team, you’ll take the lead on high-impact development projects - transforming ideas into next-generation solutions for global food analysis. Working from our state-of-the-art building in Pécs, Hungary, you will guide multidisciplinary teams through the entire NPD process, from concept to launch. You will work is close cooperation with multiple teams in Denmark.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional development projects including hardware, software, digital integration, prototyping, certification, and production setup.
  • Translate customer needs into product specifications and deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Scope and plan projects with attention to milestones, budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate agile collaboration between stakeholders across R&D, Marketing, Sales, Service, and global subsidiaries.
  • Ensure a smooth handover to production and support successful market implementation.

You are both strategic and hands-on — a leader who thrives in complex technical environments and knows how to turn ideas into impactful products. You unite diverse stakeholders around a common goal and have a strong drive to create real customer value through innovation and excellence in instrument development.

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in leading complex instrument or product development projects, spanning hardware, software, production, and certification.
  • A technical or scientific background (e.g., MSc in Engineering or related field).
  • Hands-on experience in multidisciplinary development, collaborating closely with R&D, production, and quality functions.
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to balance deep technical insight and commercial understanding.
  • Outstanding communication and facilitation skills, enabling you to connect perspectives and align stakeholders across all levels.
  • A natural ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and maintain momentum, even in complex and fast-paced environments.
